No, while we do participate in competitions, our studio offers a variety of performance opportunities beyond that. We host annual showcases, seasonal performances, and have had dancers perform at prestigious events such as NBA halftime shows, college basketball halftime performances, and Disney parades. These opportunities allow dancers to perform for family and friends in a non-competitive setting.
Our goal is to introduce dancers to a wide variety of performance venues, helping them build confidence and versatility. Whether competing or performing for enjoyment, our focus is on helping dancers grow in their technique, artistry, and self-assurance.
-
We view competition as an opportunity for dancers to measure their own growth and progress. It's not just about winning, but about the experience of performing on stage, setting personal goals, and challenging oneself in a supportive and constructive environment.
Competitions allow dancers to showcase their hard work, receive valuable feedback, and gain confidence while continuing to improve their technique and artistry.
-
Competition team members are required to attend all scheduled classes, which typically include 3 days of required training.
With optional classes taking place on off days for dancers looking for a higher commitment.
-
Yes! Dancers can compete in a variety of styles, but core team members are typically required to compete in 2 main styles (such as jazz and lyrical), with optional styles like hip-hop, tap, and contemporary.
While some dancers only compete in hip-hop or tap.
-
We have developed a special team called the "Connect Company" for dancers who are also on their high school dance team but want to stay involved at the studio. This team provides a flexible option for dancers to balance their school commitments with additional training and performance opportunities at our studio.
